Join by invitation
Anyone can create an account, but nothing opens until someone who knows you invites you in. Every friendship on Bamgbopa starts with an invitation and is confirmed by both people.
Bamgbopa is a private network for reaching the person you need, through someone you both trust. See who your friends know, ask a friend you share to introduce you, and let trust do the rest.

You see your friends, and the people they know. Never further.
Your friend decides first. Then the person you asked.
Five confirmed friends open your tree.
No feed, no followers, no scores. Nothing paid for changes who sees whom.
In this day and age, real people, real friends and real contact matter more than ever.
As the world grows more diverse, few things are worth more than a trusted, private network, made up of people who have trusted networks of their own.
Bamgbopa's vision is to bring strangers together into one private network, joined through the people they already trust. Trust is the new currency for referrals, recommendations, business, collaboration and every other venture in life.
Our goal is to make prosperous connections possible: to help you meet the friend you didn't know you had, through the friends you already have.
That is why Bamgbopa encourages every member to keep a circle of trusted, valuable and reliable people. A strong circle isn't only good for you. It strengthens everyone connected to you.
Strangers can't message you on Bamgbopa. Every first contact travels through someone you both know.
Anyone can create an account, but nothing opens until someone who knows you invites you in. Every friendship on Bamgbopa starts with an invitation and is confirmed by both people.
Once five friends have confirmed you, your tree opens: your friends, the people they know, and one line on what each person can help with.
Say in a sentence why you'd like to meet. The friend you share decides whether to pass it on, and can ask you why first.
The person sees your reason and who it came through, then accepts or declines. If they accept, you can talk in the app.
A week later, a quiet “Did this help?” Both of you are asked privately. If it helped, you can thank the friend who connected you. Answers are never shown to anyone else, and never turned into a score.
An illustration. Names are examples.
Settlement application. I need advice on a gap in my record.
Bamgbopa is built so that trust is earned, never bought. These rules are written into the app itself, not just onto this page.
You see your friends and the people they know. Nobody beyond that.
Your friend decides whether to pass a request on. Then the person you asked decides.
Passing a request on means “I know you both”, not “I guarantee them”. Bamgbopa introduces people; it doesn't check them.
If your friend doesn't pass a request on, the other person never knows it existed. Your friend hears when an introduction lands, never when it's declined.
Phone numbers, emails and links aren't allowed on profiles, so the first contact always goes through a friend.
Accepting lets you talk. It doesn't add anyone to your circle. Friendships only ever start from invitations.
No ads, no rankings, no public profiles. Nothing paid for ever changes who sees whom.
Download everything we hold about you, or delete your account, at any time, from the app.
Be found by people who already share a friend with you. When someone needs what you do, they reach you through a person you both know.
Need a builder in Ibadan, a school in Lagos or a solicitor in London? Ask through the people your family already trusts, wherever they live.
School friends, alumni and associations already trust each other. Bamgbopa turns that trust into a map of who can help with what.
Bamgbopa never asks you to be online all day. There is nothing to scroll and nothing to perform, and your conversations stay between the two of you.
We're opening slowly, one trusted circle at a time. Here's how to get in.
Your invitation is your way in.
Ask someone you know who's already a member. You can create your account first, and it opens as soon as they invite you. Or register your interest, and we'll tell you when Bamgbopa opens more widely.
Bamgbopa is on Android first, and an iPhone version is on its way. Leave your email and we'll tell you as soon as it's ready. If a friend has already invited you, they can send you a fresh invite then.
Because trust can't be added later. Everyone here was invited by someone who knows them, so every person in your tree is connected to you by real relationships, not by an algorithm.
You can download the app and create an account, but you won't see anyone, and nobody can find you, until someone who knows you sends you an invitation. Once they do, you're connected straight away and you can start inviting the people you trust.
Your friends are the first degree. Their friends are the second. You can see both, and you can only reach someone in the second degree through a friend you share.
No. Passing a request on means “I know you both”. It isn't a vouch, a guarantee or a reference. Bamgbopa introduces people; it doesn't check them, so always make your own checks before you agree to anything.
A few words from a friend about something they've seen you do, such as “Ada helped me move house and wouldn't take a penny.” You read it first, and it shows on your profile, with their name, only if you choose. You can take it off or delete it at any time.
There are no stars, numbers or rankings. Bamgbopa doesn't check what anyone writes: a vouch is one friend's experience, not a guarantee, and never a reference for a job, a loan or a home.
Nothing awkward. The person you asked never finds out the request existed.
Your friend has 48 hours from when they first open it. If they say nothing in that time, it passes on automatically, and the person is told so plainly. If it's never opened, it closes after seven days.
No. Only your friends, and people you've been introduced to through a friend (once the introduction is accepted), can message you. Phone numbers and emails are never shown on profiles.
No. You can talk to each other, but they don't join your circle or see your friends. Friendships start from invitations, confirmed by both people.
Once you've been introduced, either of you can invite the other into your circle from their profile. They can confirm or decline it, and nobody gets a notification about a decline.
Bamgbopa is free during the pilot. Whatever comes later, some things will never be for sale: reaching someone without a friend in the middle, paying a friend to pass you on, appearing higher up, advertising, or your data.
We're testing on Android first. An iPhone version is on its way: join the iPhone waiting list and we'll tell you when it's ready.
